2016年6月29日，为改善婴儿床、婴儿摇篮和婴儿睡篮的安全性，保护婴幼儿免受与这些产品有关的伤害和意外死亡，加拿大政府公布了新CCBR。该法规将进一步使加拿大安全要求与美国安全要求靠拢，并适用于所有在加拿大制造、销售、广告或进口至加拿大的婴儿床、婴儿摇篮和婴儿睡篮。
新法SOR/2016-152，将取代现行的CCBR法规（SOR/2010-261），以加强对上述舒眠产品的要求。

历史：
2000年1月至2016年5月之间，加拿大卫生部收到了104份报告，包括与下拉式婴儿床有关的94起非损伤相关事件，8起碰撞、刮伤和挫伤事件，1起脑震荡事件和一起死亡事件。
2010年1月1日至2016年5月1日之间，有38次自愿召回婴儿床、婴儿摇篮和婴儿睡篮事件，其中包括14次召回与下拉式婴儿床有关。
CCBR最初根据加拿大消费品安全法案（CCPSA），于2010年11月18日发表和生效。
